By now I am sure you know that about 47% of flyers have some degree of a flying phobia. Lets face it, you are going to need to fly places, it has become a necessary means of travel, and why not do it in comfort. I can show you how to overcome flying phobia if you allow me to, by reading on.

I know you have heard every statistic out there a million times. One of my favorite statistics that makes me feel really safe in the air is, for every 1 million flight hours there is an average of only 4 fatalities. Compared do driving, there is about 115 deaths a day in the United States alone which averages to about 42,000 people a year. I am surprised there aren't more people with driving anxiety.

The fear of flying is a very understandable condition and will take time to get over it. The very best thing you can do to start overcoming your flying phobia is to understand everything there is to know about airplanes and aviation in general.

Once you have become familiar with the major things like what happens if the engines fail or how much turbulence is too much for an airplane to handle you will be so much closer to flying fear free.

I am a commercial student pilot at the moment and can set your mind at ease for the time being about engine failures, because I'm sure just saying it can make you anxious. If a plane looses an engine or all of the engines (which is highly unlikely) all hope is not lost, not even by a long shot. A typical airliner cruises at 35,000 feet, if the engines were to fail the plane can glide for about 100 miles, more than enough time to find an alternate airport and make a safe landing.

There are so many different levels of flying anxiety, this could have answered some questions and that is great, but i am guessing you need much more information to really know how to overcome flying phobia, because we have only scratched the surface of the subject and there is so much more to learn. You really do owe it to yourself to get over your condition and the next step is to click on the link and start your transformation to become a frequent fearless flyer. http://squidoo.com/flying-anxiety-product-reviews
